How to Apply
In order to apply you have to register and create an account. You will get your login data via email. Below you will learn what kind of information and which documents you need during the online application process.
Personal data: Name, date of birth, address, etc.
Research proposal: A description of your dissertation project, which may include bibliographical information and should include a timeline.
Personal statement: Why you want to join the GSAP program?
CV and education history: Upload of your CV, transcripts and certificates like MA, Diplom, etc.; if available, uploads of certificates concerning your language skills (Latin, Greek, English, German); a list of publications (if any).
Writing sample: Upload of a peace of written work in ancient philosophy; summary of the writing sample.
Upload only PDF files, please: Maximum filesize is 5 MB; file names: maximum 30 characters, no spaces, no special characters; no protected files.
References: Two letters of reference complete your application. You need to enter the names and affiliations of your referees during the online application process. Please ask your referees to send a letter of recommendation (as a scan/pdf by e-mail or by fax or by post) to:
